All applications must be completed online. No handwritten applications will be accepted.
Effective August 1, 2012, ALL tourist travelers must supply a copy of their travel itinerary, with hotel confirmation. Persons traveling on business must supply a letter of invitation from the company in China.
Effective June 18, 2012, citizens holding a passport from France are required to visit a China Consulate in person in order to obtain fingerprints and issue your China Visa: (It will take at least 5 business days to process a visa.)
**NOTE: For U.S. passport holders only - If your passport is valid for under one year, the China Consulate will only issue you a 6-month, multiple entry Visa. If your passport is valid for at least one year, you will be issued a 10-year Visa.

The invitation letter shall include the following items: A) Personal information of the invitee: name, gender, date of birth, etc. B) Information concerning the applicant's visit to China: Purpose of the visit, date of arrival and leaving, places to visit, relationship between the applicant and the inviter, and who will bear the cost of the applicant's accommodations in China. C) Information of the inviter: Name of the unit, phone number, address, seal and signature of the legal representative.
