India Tourist & Business Visa Requirements for U.S. citizens:

**Consular jurisdiction applies for Visas for India, which means that from our location in Chicago we can only process tourist and business India visas for the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

**DOUBLE-SIDED APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.**

**NOTE: The Indian Consulate issues 5-year visas at their own discretion.**

**India visas take approximately 2 to 3 weeks to process**

Must be valid for 6 months from the date of your application and have at least 2 blank visa pages inside of it.  The last 2 amendment pages are not acceptable.  Must be the actual passport, not a copy.

**NOTE: This application must be completed and submitted online, then printed out and signed. (Click here for the application or go to our "Visa Services" page to download it.) DOUBLE-SIDED APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

**The name on your application must appear exactly as it does on your passport, or your application will be rejected by the Indian Consulate.

**Also, this application must be signed in two separate places; once in the upper-right hand corner underneath your photo and the second time at the bottom of page two.

Applicants must submit a photocopy with the proof of residence/address.  A photocopy of driver's license or utility bill is acceptable.  For minors, a parent or guardian's proof of address may be submitted instead.

**Effective July 7, 2016, everyone requesting an Indian Business Visa must include a Letter of Incorporation from their company in India.**

**NOTE: 5-year visas are issued at the Indian Consulate's discretion.**

• 2 passport photos, 2 x 2 inches in size with full, front view of your face, on a light or white background.

        A letter from the applicant's United States employer, on its letterhead and signed by senior management or superior informing: a) job position, b) job description, c) purpose(s) and description of the applicant's intended activities during the trip, providing details such as dates, places, contacts, and end-purpose of the trip (sales, purchases, coordination, auditing, etc), d) duration of the trip.  Information on periodicity, average length and assignment description of future trips, if any), financial responsibility for the trip.


   
Letter of invitation

Applicants requiring a business visa will need a letter of invitation from the employer in India.  Please state the type of Visa, either a 1-year or a 5-year Visa on this invitation.  **Non-US citizens can only get 6-month visas.** 5-year visas are issued at the Indian Consulate's discretion.

1 year multiple entry - $180.00
5 year multiple entry - $290.00

For United Kingdom citizens, the consular fees are as follows:

1-year multiple entry - $451.70 (NOTE: 5-year visas are no longer issued to UK citizens)

7. Your Letter of Incorporation for your company in India 
8. Your Consular fees (see our Visa Order Form for fees and types of payment)

10. Your Bucktown Visas & Passports expediting and return shipping fees. (They are located on our order form and are in addition to your Consular fees.)
